The following items are needed at the BLAS Food Pantry: dish soap, hand soap, ketchup, laundry detergent, paper towels, razors, shampoo & creme rinse, toilet paper, vegetable oil, white rice.

2020 Giving Statements were emailed out on January 20, 2021. Contact the church office with any questions or if you would like a hard copy.
Bible Study on ZOOM:
We host two Bible Studies on ZOOM each week, Monday evenings at 6:30 pm and Thursday mornings at 10 am. ZOOM link and information about the studies will be sent out on Mondays through email or contact the church office and we will get you the information.
Prayer Shawls available:
Do you have a friend or family member going through a tough time? Is someone celebrating a milestone? We have prayer shawls available for you. They are free to be picked up at our church office, we can mail you one or we can drop one off to you. Just give Doris Ruffcorn a call at the church office at 913-724-2077 during office hours to set up a time to pick one up.
Sunday School on ZOOM:
Sunday mornings at 9 am, Mike Burkard will lead a Bible study. This study will dive deeper into the scripture and Pasto Kyle’s sermon. The link for the Bible study is:
BUMC Tech Help Needed:
Many changes have happened at church and new Sunday morning technology such as livestream is one of them. We are in need of volunteers to get trained on our tech equipment and help us out on Sunday mornings. Contact Pastor Kyle or the office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Youth Group looking for items:
If you have done some house cleaning/purging lately and have any of the following items, the Youth Group would love to take them off your hands. Please do NOT buy anything! We are only hoping to detour items from going to Salvation Army or Goodwill. Contact Pam BeMent at 214-704-5704 or email@example.com to make arrangements for drop off or pickup: We are looking for: gold putters, pool noodles, bandanas (all colors), name tag labels (mismatched are fine), poster board, outdoors games (jenga, croquet, bocce, balls-kick and dodge), furniture movers (i.e. squares with wheels), stickers for our college care packages.
Communion Cups “to go”:
We have pre-packaged communion “to go” cups available for you to pick up. Call or
email the church office and let Doris know how many you would like and she will meet
you outside to pick them up.
Grief Groups at Leavenworth FUMC:
Leavenworth First United Methodist Church is sponsoring two grief groups that are
scheduled for eight sessions. The first one is designed for widows and widowers that
will meet at 2 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. The second one for anyone who
is experiencing grief and loss of a loved one will meet at 5 pm on the 2nd & 4th
Wednesday of each month. Registration is required with a suggested donation of
$20 per participant. The groups will follow GriefShare, a faith based program that
through videos and group sharing can provide much needed comfort and healing.
