Our Pastor

Pastor Kyle has lived most of his life in the Kansas City area and proudly calls it home. He has served as the pastor of Basehor United Methodist Church since 2019, returning to the metro after a few years of ministry in northeast Nebraska. Kyle and his wife, a special education teacher at Linwood Elementary, are raising five children who attend schools across the Basehor Linwood district, which keeps them happily involved in the life of the community.

As a pastor, Kyle is passionate about helping people be their best selves, embrace who God created them to be, and know they are loved, valued, and never alone. He loves preaching and teaching in ways that help faith come alive, and he enjoys walking alongside people through every season of life. Kyle also volunteers as a mentor at Basehor Linwood Middle School, where he supports students as they explore leadership and discover the difference they can make in the world.

Outside of ministry, Kyle loves loud dad shirts, fishing in Canada, exploring music, trying new foods, and finding creative outlets. You can often find him cheering on his kids at the Field of Dreams, high school cross country meets, band competitions, or dance events. He is also a big fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs and is always up for a fun community moment, whether that is an improv competition or a belly flop contest.
